Global Sports Bulletin welcomes clear, original pitches that help readers understand a sport, competition, rule or piece of equipment. We are interested in useful explanations, not match reports or claims of secret access.

What to pitch

Propose a focused subject with a clear reader question: what should someone understand by the end? Ideas may explain a rule, compare competition formats, unpack a sporting term or show how a piece of equipment is used. We favour evergreen topics that do not depend on breaking news.

What makes a strong proposal

Keep the pitch concise and specific. Name the sport and the scope, outline the central explanation, and say what sources or rule materials you would use. Flag differences between competitions or versions of a sport. Do not send confidential material, unsupported claims or work that relies on professional advice.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a commission; please wait for a response before sending a full draft.
